Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager to lead and manage three development teams working on our travel booking platforms. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the development of our web and mobile systems and managing the integration of external services such as booking systems and payment solutions.

As the Development Manager, you will leverage your strong technical background, leadership experience, and hands-on coding expertise to lead these teams effectively. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Founder to ensure that all development goals align with the company’s objectives and product vision.

This is a hybrid role based in Dubai, and we are looking for candidates who are either based in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage three development teams (2-5 developers per team) in a hybrid work environment.
• Oversee the development of two web-based travel booking systems for flights and hotels.
• Direct the development of a mobile tourism platform that includes user recommendations and social media integration.
• Manage external service integrations, including booking systems and payment services.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Founder to gather and refine product requirements.
• Develop detailed work plans and ensure timely execution of projects.
• Guide teams to achieve objectives and meet company goals within defined timeframes.
• Maintain focus on approved objectives and avoid scope creep.
• Manage both local and remote team members, ensuring clear communication and high collaboration.

Required Technical Skills:

• At least 8 years of development management experience.
• Proven experience in leading development projects with React and Python.
• Solid track record of managing teams of 10+ developers.
• Expertise in web system development and integrating external services.
• Hands-on coding experience and the ability to conduct effective code reviews.
• Strong experience managing hybrid teams (local and remote).
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex technical projects successfully.
• Ability to collaborate with senior management and product teams to align on priorities and requirements.

Language Requirements:

• Fluent in Hebrew (required).
• Fluent in English (required).
• Additional languages are a plus.

Location:

• The position is based in Dubai, UAE.
• Candidates must be either based in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the travel industry.
• Familiarity with travel booking systems and GDS integration.
• Knowledge of the Middle Eastern market and business culture.
