The Opportunity

If you score as a highly-skilled Android developer, then get ready to join our Android team. You will have published at least two different apps on the Play Store. If you are passionate about building a consistent experience across different platform versions, we’d like to hear from you.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• You update your teammates during your daily stand-up meetings, plan your sprints with them, analyze and estimate new features, and prioritize tasks based on always changing environment
• Your code uses the SOLID principles, follows the clean architecture, apply the boy scout rule, and constantly strive to improve
• You write tests, both unit and instrumentation, you help your QA team members to test your code manually, you review your teammates’ code, and you rely on the continuous integration approach
• You exchange ideas with iOS and API developers, share your knowledge with the rest of the Android team, and participate in companywide knowledge sessions
• You work with project managers and user experience designers to influence the strategy for the next wave of project features, identifying the best way to deliver them
• You collaborate with distributed teams, producing project work plans and analyzing the efficiency and feasibility of project operations, while demonstrating the global technology stack and making localized improvements

• You visualize, design, and develop creative and innovative software platforms, as we continue to experience spectacular growth in the usage and openness of our products
• You craft scalable software platforms and applications that are unit-tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration
• You examine existing systems, identifying flaws and building solutions to improve time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation
• You anticipate and implement full software development processes for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations
  
  

Skills we can’t do without:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information technology, or equivalent study program and practical experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in software engineering and development
• 3+ years’ experience with Java and the Android SDK
• Good knowledge of git and git-flow
• Strong design pattern knowledge and software architecture abilities
• Experience integrating with REST APIs
  
  

Skills we’d like:

• Proficiency with Java and C
• Knowledge of reactive programming
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Automated testing pipelines
• Fondness for testability: Test/Behavior Driven Development, Dependency Injection, UI/Instrumentation tests
• Affinity for usability and accessibility
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues and interns
• Solid knowledge of ANSI C
