Job Summary:

Hammerspace, Inc. delivers a Global Data Environment that connects users with their data across various infrastructures. They are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to build responsive web applications using React, collaborate with backend developers, and create seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain user-facing features using React, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks.

• Collaborate with backend engineers working in Java and Spring Boot to define API contracts and ensure smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.

• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible, and scalable components.

• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code using modern React best practices (e.g., hooks, functional components).

• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Debug and resolve frontend issues across browsers and devices, with performance and usability in mind.

• Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 2–3 years of professional experience in frontend development with a strong focus on React.js.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication patterns.

• Experience using version control systems like Git.

• Exposure to backend technologies such as Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to collaborate on end-to-end feature delivery.

• Understanding of browser behavior, performance optimization, and accessibility best practices.

Preferred:

• Exposure to frontend testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

• Understanding of REST API design.

• Experience with tools such as Webpack, Vite, Postman, or Swagger.

• Experience with UI frameworks like Anti or Material UI.
