QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Bioggio, in Switzerland.

As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products through test automation, infrastructure validation, and continuous integration.

You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and product teams to build robust testing frameworks, monitor system health, and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using tools like Selenium and custom Python scripts.
• Integrate QA workflows into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Ansible.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform for QA environments.
• Validate backend functionality and data integrity using MySQL and API tests.
• Collaborate with developers to test web applications built in Laravel.
• Manage and version control test scripts and configuration using Git.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and QA process improvements.
• Investigate and report bugs, and provide clear documentation for issues found.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer in a senior or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Python).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Good understanding of MySQL databases and backend testing.
• Experience working with Laravel applications is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
