Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to support the technology manager and the product specialist in developing and testing demos and new products with ABB robots. Each day you will support the team ensuring that ABB and customers have a full understanding of the robots’ applications. You will also support the team in developing Web interfaces and software solutions that will make our robots easier to use for our customers.

In this position you directly report to the Global Technology Manager of the Robotics Ecosystem.

This role is contributing to to the Robotics Business Area, in Cobot Distribution and Ecosystem division located in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan).

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supporting and cooperating with the cobot team in activities such as developing and testing demos and new products with ABB robots, creating product video material, documentation, and software development. Support workshops and events in different ABB locations.
• Support designing, development, and testing of Web interfaces to enhance user experience with robots. Based on user input, think creatively, and propose ideas for improvement while collaborating with other engineers to ensure seamless integration with ABB robotic platforms.
• Work with ABB RAPID robot programming language, RobotStudio, as well as ABB’s Wizard easy programming, and web development tools.
• Work in projects and activities with ABB teams located around the world including China, Italy, Sweden, etc.
  
  
  

Qualifications For The Role

• You have a background in robotics, automation, software or similar.
• You are passionate about front-end development and have a deep understanding of user experience. Programming experience is preferred.
• You are passionate about cobots and robots.

• Ideally you have experience with RAPID, RobotStudio, and ABB robots.
