Software Engineer

One of our key clients in Zurich is looking for a Software Engineer to join their growing team focused on developing innovative medical technologies. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the full lifecycle of medical device development—from concept to market authorization.

The client is a cutting-edge medical device start-up working on next-generation solutions to improve patient outcomes. Their activities span software development, regulatory compliance, and clinical integration, with a focus on building scalable and compliant systems for healthcare applications.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Set up and develop software components for medical devices
• Drive development from early-stage engineering through to market authorization
• Apply V-Model methodology across the software lifecycle
• Implement and support risk management processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards for medical devices
• Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team (currently 11 members)
• Contribute to testing and clinical phases as projects evolve

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Proven experience in the medical device industry
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards relevant to medical devices
• Deep understanding of the V-Model development process
• Experience with risk management in regulated environments
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• No leadership responsibilities required
