Java Technical Lead
Dublin/Hybrid (1 day per week required onsite)
Initial 12-month contract with long-term potential

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical lead with a minimum of nine years' industry experience who is available to start within 2 weeks.

Requires proven experience as a technical lead, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework, full-stack development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and hands-on work with web services, UNIX, SQL, and automated testing.

Position Overview

• 
  Lead and oversee large-scale, complex technical initiatives alongside a team of developers.
• 
  Interpret and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• 
  Prepare effort estimates, coordinate Agile planning sessions, and ensure delivery of assigned project scope.
• 
  Oversee and execute testing phases including integration, system, and automated testing.
• 
  Proactively identify areas for improvement and work with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements.
• 
  Monitor and manage project risks and issues effectively.

Core Technical Skills

• 
  Strong background in Java and Spring Framework
• 
  Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 
  Experience with Web Services, UNIX, SQL, and relational databases
• 
  Hands-on experience in unit, integration, system, and automated testing

Preferred Skills

• 
  Familiarity with Angular
