We are seeking a Kafka Engineer to build and manage scalable, real-time data streaming solutions using Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in production environments, Kafka internals, and a DevOps mindset.

Collaboration across teams to ensure performance, reliability, and security is key. While Kafka is the main focus, IBM MQ Series expertise is a strong asset. This role is central to our messaging infrastructure evolution.

• Design, configure, and deploy Kafka clusters to support high-throughput, real-time data streaming.
• Monitor and optimize Kafka infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka operations, data ingestion, and processing.
• Implement best practices for data governance, access control, and compliance within the Kafka ecosystem.
• Collaborate on end-to-end data pipelines; IBM MQ Series administration and troubleshooting is a strong plus.

YOUR SKILLS :

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with at least 5 years of experience as an Engineer working with Kafka in production environments.
• Strong expertise in Kafka architecture, cluster configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IBM MQ Series (administration, patching, monitoring, integration) is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet requirements and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) – this is mandatory for effective collaboration across teams.
