We are currently looking for a Senior Back up and Storage engineer to join our growing client in Luxembourg!

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and propose infrastructure configurations for deployment ;
• Define architecture standards and reference configurations ;
• Maintain the CMDB ;
• Manage decommissioning (data migration, disk shredding, cleanup) ;
• Set up and manage storage devices, backup tools, and associated application modules ;
• Administer SAN environments, including zoning and port configurations ;
• Drive compliance with deployment standards and maintain secure, stable environments through vulnerability analysis and risk assessments ;
• Coordinate with vendors to install patches, upgrades, and perform scheduled maintenance ;
• Monitor Backup and Storage infrastructures on a daily basis ;
• Resolve incidents and service requests via ServiceNow, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting ;
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following major system events, including recommendations to prevent future occurrences ;
• Generate health reports on infrastructure performance ;
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external providers to resolve cross- functional technical issues ;
• Supporting the operations activities in 24/7 by assuming the rotating on-call duties and different shifts during normal working hours.

Profile & professional experience :

• 10 years of experience in the field ;
• Good knowledge of tools like Commvault, HYCU, SAN (Brocade), Hitachi Storage ;
• Experience with PureStorage ;
• Experience with NetApp NAS storage arrays (FASxxxx, AFFxxx) with Snapmirror ;
• Knowledge of DELL PowerScale (Isilon) ;
• Knowledge of NetApp StorageGrid S3 Objectstorage ;
• Experience with Cloudian S3 Objectstorage.
  

Bonus :

• Scripting skills in Perl or Python ;
• Experience with Ansible & Terraform.
