Role Overview
As a Software Developer, the candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that support cancer research and patient treatment. The role involves improving CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the security, compliance, and performance of data integration systems. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and tools to keep the systems modern and effective.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust software systems with a focus on automation, quality, and scalability
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable deployment processes
- Collaborating with internal and external technical teams to implement system improvements
- Supporting data integration and ensuring security, compliance, and performance
- Exploring new technologies and tools to enhance system effectiveness
- Contributing to the standardisation of development practices across projects
Qualifications
- A degree in Software Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of software development experience, ideally in data-rich environments
- Proficiency in Java, with experience in cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Python and MySQL is a plus
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is an advantage
- A genuine interest in leveraging technology to make an impact in healthcare
