Senior C++ Engineer - AI/Deep learning

Vizrt provides real-time 3D graphics, studio automation, sports analysis, and asset management tools for the broadcast industry. To strengthen our research & development we are now seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join the Sports / AI component team that is based in the Zurich/ Switzerland office. You will work together with an international team of developers producing software which will be used by most major broadcasters around the globe. You will start out in a small team developing features and components for a variety of Vizrt products, primarily Viz Libero and Viz Arena, our solutions for sports analysis and live AR

About the role

You will be at the forefront in shaping the future of our Sports broadcast, whose impact is seen by audiences around the globe Your primary focus will be on developing AI-driven components that elevate the user experience, making our broadcast solutions more powerful, intuitive, and engaging

You'll be involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from planning and designing user experiences to implementation, testing, documentation, and ongoing maintenance

Our technology stack is diverse, offering you the opportunity to work with tools and languages such as C++, CUDA, C#, .NET, Python, PyTorch, TensorRT, and Vue.js

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all product development phases together with a world-class team and constantly help the team to improve all development aspects by living and demonstrating best practices
• Contribute to design and/or optimization of new deep-learning models, data pipelines, deep-learning infrastructure
• Design and optimize high-performance software components using C++ and CUDA
• Integrate and deploy deep learning models into production systems
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code in both C++ and Python
• Follow and contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy

Required Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of professional experience in C++ software development is a must have
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science—or equivalent skills and experience
• Experience deploying and optimizing deep learning models in production environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Computer Vision
• Familiarity with ONNX, TensorRT, or other model optimization tools
• Experience with deep learning technology, i.e. model architecture, optimization/learning, data management and inference
• Knowledge in Machine Learning in general
