Role : .Net Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer in one of our Scrum teams, you will develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production-ready. Through collaboration with other developers your work will improve the digital banking experience for our customers and our staff.

Responsibility areas

End to end software development

· Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production

· Design reusable services following Service Oriented Design principles

· Engineer solutions which are highly secure and performant at scale

· Write code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind

· A mind for quality leveraging the best in TDD / BDD practices to delivery working software, every time · Cycle time / lead time of stories · Difficulty in changing shared services · Number security and performance related defects · Test coverage · Code review results · Production and pre-production defects

Coaching and development

· Proactive in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies and behaviours

· Coach other engineers and team members to increase their capability and in turn the capability of the scrum teams and organisation

· Maintain a focus on personal development of soft skills including refining ability to operate in ambiguity and problem solving skills · Progress in the development of capabilities · Contribution to the development of others

Knowledge management

· Ensure the effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system and process

· Ensure effective communication of scope, progress, concerns, issues · Contribution to community knowledge · Feedback from stakeholders

Technical Skills:

Proven experience working on .Net, C#, Asp.Net with 5+ years on application development using C#

Experience using ORM, Automated Unit Test frameworks

Experience and appreciation for UX

Deep understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g. test, mocking, source control (Git), CI, work tracking, defect management, etc

Sound understanding of other layers in a typical stack
