Primary Purpose Of The Job

Al Shaheen is Qatar Tier 1 asset and is listed on the first phase asset management system implementation. The Top Down Guidance (TDG) is to maintain 300 Kbbl/day through the implementation of major development projects such as:

• All Gallaf Batch 3, Ruya project.
• EOR and water flood
  
  

The head of Al Shaheen development will be responsible and accountable for optimum development of the Asset hydrocarbon resource. Responsible for determining optimum production / injection balance and offtake level for the field. Ensures that the full lifecycle of the field, from the identification of the opportunity to abandonment, is maximized. Monitors and guides the subsurface development activities of Al-Shaheen oil field in Qatar under Joint Venture Agreement with North Oil Company (NOC).

Required Experience And Skills

Prefer 10 years experience in a broad range of Petroleum Engineering functions with a proven track record of leading a multi-disciplinary team is required, with preferably 5 years experience in a lead or supervisory position.

Should have a high level of experience in field development and reservoir management with a broad spread of theoretical and practical experience. This should include significant experience in the application of fundamental petroleum engineering principles in oil field development, and preferably in geological modelling, reservoir simulation and operations, with good skills of economics and risk analysis.

Educational Qualifications

The incumbent should hold a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Postgraduate qualification (M.Sc./ Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline is preferred.

A comprehensive training in all Petroleum disciplines is essential. Membership of a relevant Professional Institution and Chartered / Professional Engineer status is desirable.
