Short Description:

Looking for SRE Lead Engineer minimum 8 years of relevant Experience

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Salary range: AUD 108,571- 119,893(Annual Gross)

Please Note: The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Primary Focus - Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Key Responsibilities
• Defining SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for reliability.
• Monitoring system performance and reducing toil.
• Capacity planning scaling.
• Automating reliability improvements.
• Main Goal - Ensure production systems are reliable, performant, and scalable.
• Tools & Technologies - New Relic, SRE principles, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, Problem Management, Change Management, chaos engineering, Azure SME
• Approach - Focuses on reducing downtime, preventing failures, and maintaining system stability.
• Common Backgrounds - Software Engineering, DevOps, Operations, Cloud Engineering.

Skills /Competencies:

1. Essential:

• Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
• Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.

1. Preferred:

• Strong Azure cloud background with IAC skill
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly motivated self-driven with a positive attitude.

Additional Skills:

1. Excellent customer facing skills
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
