About the Role

Client’s Maps Design team is looking for a Product Designer with expertise in internal tools and systems to create intuitive, human-centric geospatial products that power Client’s core experiences.

You’ll design scalable, efficient tools that support map production, data visualization, spatial analysis, and decision-making for internal users — from operations teams to engineers. These tools directly impact Client’s mapping platform, ensuring it delivers reliable, high-quality location intelligence worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Onboard to Client’s design system and tools, focusing on accessibility, scalability, and global impact.
• Partner with engineers, PMs, and mapping experts to understand geospatial infrastructure and user workflows.
• Design high-utility tools for mapping specialists, operations teams, and platform engineers.
• Lead end-to-end design — from research and ideation to polished delivery.
• Improve tool usability through rigorous UX thinking.
• Conduct research to uncover pain points and inform design decisions.
• Build modular UI systems for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship high-impact solutions.
• Present work clearly and articulate decisions using data and user insights.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years product design experience (internal tools, enterprise systems, or data-heavy platforms).
• Experience designing responsive web applications across desktop, tablet, and browser.
• Proven ability to apply user-centered design principles to complex workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
• Portfolio showcasing work on data tools, spatial interfaces, or enterprise applications.
• Figma and prototyping proficiency; strong visual and interaction craft.
• Familiarity with geospatial systems, GIS platforms, or location-aware interfaces.
• Experience collaborating with researchers, data scientists, and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to design within and contribute to large-scale design systems.
