Senior Project Manager

My client is looking for a Senior Project Manager who speaks Dutch /English

Context

As an ICT Project Manager, you ensure that the projects entrusted to you are carried out according to schedule and the required quality.

You follow up on the activities and work proactively with the members from inside and outside the project team to ensure a good organization of the planned work.

On a regular basis, you report on the progress of the projects to the Program Manager, CIO and steering committee. You will also ensure good communication between all parties involved.

You take take on a motivating, advising and facilitating role with regard to the project team, your management and the organization and work closely with them.

Stimulating, motivating and coordinating your project team is of course no problem for you as a good people manager. You have work experience within the university context

· You have a master's degree (preferably in IT, computer science or a related field) or you have an equivalent profile through experience

Skills

· You have at least 7 years of experience in project management and project management.

· You have a good knowledge of the techniques in both a waterfall and an agile project methodology.

· You have strong verbal and written communication skills ·

A technical background in the following technologies is certainly necessary: data center facilities and infrastructure, network and/or system management, virtualization platforms and data center migrations.

· You have experience as a project manager in data center projects with sub-projects including the installation and equipment of the physical data center, implementation of networks and systems, migration of applications between data centers, transfer of project tasks to operational departments.

Additional competencies

· Knowledge of public procurement in a university context is considered a plus.

· You have a sense of responsibility and are customer- and result-oriented.

· You work in an organized way, know how to set priorities and succeed in coordinating the various parties involved in a project.

· You have excellent communication skills and are good negotiators.

· You attach great importance to coaching and know how to motivate and coordinate the teams involved in the projects.
