Back End Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Node.js + TypeScript backend engineer to join a fast growing fintech team in London. You’ll be building scalable, secure backend systems that power financial products used by a fast-expanding customer base.

You’ll work on high-performance APIs, design systems that scale reliably, and collaborate across engineering, product, and operations to deliver robust, maintainable solutions. This role offers autonomy, technical influence, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the architecture and growth of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js + TypeScript.
• Develop well-structured, high-performance APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture and set engineering standards.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code.

Requirements

• 4+ years backend engineering experience, with strong expertise in Node.js + TypeScript.
• Experience designing and scaling RESTful or microservice architectures.
• Solid PostgreSQL skills.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and AWS.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
