Senior Golang Backend Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Employment Type: Contract/Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP (Onsite from Day 1)
About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Golang Backend Engineer to develop high-performance APIs and scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment. You will work on mission-critical systems, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, deep backend expertise, and the ability to work independently.

About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Golang Backend Engineer to develop high-performance APIs and scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment. You will work on mission-critical systems, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, deep backend expertise, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services & APIs using Golang (primary language).
- Build cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work with distributed and relational databases such as Cassandra, Bigtable, Spanner, and SQL.
- Ensure clean, maintainable, and high-quality code through code reviews and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in knowledge sharing.
- 4–6 years of professional backend development experience with Golang as the primary language.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong understanding of API design and backend service architecture.
- Hands-on experience with GCP and cloud-native application development.
- Proficiency in working with databases (distributed + SQL).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Unix/Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and data modeling.
- Prior experience in an Application Engineer role or similar.
- Expertise with distributed databases (Cassandra, Bigtable, Spanner).
- Knowledge of shell scripting.
- Passion for learning and applying new technologies.
