As we expand across the UK and into international markets, including the US, we’re seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to drive our technology strategy, scale our solutions, and lead our exceptional tech team.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver, shaping our technology vision while staying close to the details that make it happen. You will lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems, integrating the latest in AI, IoT, GIS, and predictive analytics to deliver solutions with real-world impact.

What You Will Do:

• Set the vision – Develop and deliver a technology strategy aligned with Previsico’s growth ambitions.
• Drive innovation – Oversee R&D collaboration and bring new products from concept to launch.
• Lead the team – Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary technology group across engineering, platform, infrastructure, and product.
• Deliver at scale – Architect robust, secure, and scalable systems for real-time flood forecasting.
• Stay ahead – Leverage emerging technologies to enhance product performance and competitive advantage.
• Collaborate globally – Partner with C-suite colleagues, R&D, operations, and commercial teams to ensure our tech aligns with market needs.

About You

We are looking for a proven technology leader with a track record of delivering complex, mission-critical systems at scale. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a passion for using technology for societal and environmental good.

You will bring:

• Significant experience in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent).
• Proven success in scaling platforms and leading high-performing tech teams.
• Expertise in system architecture, agile delivery, and modern software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with AI, IoT, predictive analytics, and/or GIS applications.
• A hands-on, solution-focused approach, with the ability to operate from strategy to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Preferred: experience in geospatial analytics, climate tech, insurtech, or environmental modelling
