Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, data-driven SRE to join one of our clients from the banking industry. You’ll own the end-to-end reliability of their Java microservices, shape long-term monitoring strategy, mentor teammates, and drive continuous improvement. Project goal is to maintain and develop solutions focused on CRM.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable monitoring and alerting solutions using Splunk and Grafana (LGTM).
• Investigate and troubleshoot Java application performance issues, latency spikes, and error trends.
• Lead incident response drills and post-mortems to embed learnings into our runbooks.
• Define roadmap for observability, SLIs/SLOs, and on-call processes that align with business goals.
• Collaborate across dev, QA, and product teams to bake reliability into every release.
• Pitch new tooling, automation frameworks, and infrastructure upgrades to senior leadership.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven track record as an SRE or Senior DevOps engineer supporting Java-based services ( min 5 years).
• Deep expertise with Splunk (or equivalent) for log aggregation, search, and analytics.
• Hands-on experience building dynamic Grafana dashboards and custom alerts.
• Strong debugging skills: heap dumps, thread dumps, GC logs, flame graphs.
• Container fluency: Docker build pipelines, lifecycle, and performance implications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communicator—comfortable leading technical discussions.
• Self-starter mentality with a history of owning large initiatives from concept to production.
• Demonstrated leadership: mentoring peers, driving small teams, or owning cross-functional programs.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Azure certified
• Experience with Python or Apache Spark is advantageous.
