Job Description

EU ONLY - Please note that the candidate must have a security clearance no later than 15 weeks after the starting date of his services, meaning that candidate will need to start the process of receiving the EU Security clearance as soon as possible (probably once the hiring process starts).

Task To Be Performed

  • application installation, configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
  • application monitoring, performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
  • applications support and maintenance activities such as incident, change, release and problem resolution;
  • writing and validating application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides, backup and restore plans;
  • automating administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
  • contributing to the structuring, maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
  • reporting on application availability, performance, capacity and overall usage where required.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: A minimum of 6 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support and maintenance of applications.
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch
  • Mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with enterprise Microsoft server or Linux server solutions

Professional Knowledge

  • Mandatory: Good knowledge of the deployment and administration of Elasticsearch clusters
  • Mandatory: Good knowledge of micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks using Kubernetes, Helm charts, Docker and Rancher
  • Mandatory: Good knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey)
  • Mandatory: Good knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting
  • Mandatory: Good knowledge of ITIL, including the incident, change and release management processes
