Our Partner, a leading Software Company located in Southern Brussels, is looking for a Security Engineer to strength their Security Team.

You'll be a key player in securing their internal IT landscape and digital services in a remote-friendly, 24/7 internet-facing environment.

Security Engineer - What Will You Do

• Monitor & investigate: Analyze dashboards, detect anomalies, manage alerts, and trigger appropriate countermeasures.
• Manage vulnerabilities: Oversee external scans and penetration tests, and collaborate with development teams on remediation.
• Incident response: Lead investigations, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate with our external SOC.
• Advise & automate: Recommend best practices, write scripts, and streamline security processes.
• Secure endpoints: Handle patching, hardening, and system updates using Intune & Defender.
• Support secure development: Assist teams with security reviews, threat modeling, and code scanning using tools like Burp, ZAP, or Metasploit.

Security Engineer - Who Are You

• Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT with a focus or strong interest in cybersecurity.
• Technical skills: Experience with Windows (AD, Azure AD), Azure cloud, endpoint protection, network security, and vulnerability management; Linux is a plus.
• Security tools: Familiar with pentesting and tools like Burp Suite, ZAP, or Metasploit.
• Soft skills: Hands-on, detail-oriented, communicative, eager to learn, and a strong team player with an agile mindset.
• Languages: Fluent in English, plus either French or Dutch.
