Engineer - Vision AI

Our client, is a multinational automotive manufacturer. As an Engineer – Vision AI, you would work closely with the dynamic Manufacturing AI Technology development team to overcome the pain point generated from the vision system of the manufacturing site. This role is based in the Gyeonggi province (just outside Seoul, South Korea).

Responsibilities:

• Design of algorithm structure considering software reusability and modularization perspective
• Development of modular algorithms such as data pre-processing, object recognition, object classification and abnormality detection
• Quality Engineering (integration of modular algorithms, performance evaluation, optimization/refactoring)
• Development of algorithms that can detect fine surface defects (dent, wave) on unpainted surfaces (steel and aluminium) based on distortion of optical patterns such as fringe projection, deflectometry, structural light pattern, and moire pattern
• Development of fine surface defects detection algorithm using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) to analyse changes in frequency components
• Development of digital shape and digital stone algorithm

Requirements:

• Education in electrical engineering/electronics/software/computer science or industry experience in a related field
• Design/development of vision algorithms considering software reusability and modularization, performance evaluation, and optimization experience
• The ability to solve algorithm problems and analyse source code
• Proficiency in programming one or more of Python, C++ and C# languages
• Experience using deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow
• Fluent English is a must
• Willingness to be based in Korea is a must
