The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the federal government's centre of expertise for matters of cyber security and the first point of contact for businesses, public authorities, educational institutions and the public on cyber-related issues.
The NCSC raises awareness and alerts the public and public authorities to cyberthreats and cyberattacks. It processes reports on incidents and threats in cyberspace, and provides technical analysis to help operators of critical infrastructure, in particular, respond to cyberattacks. The NCSC also makes recommendations on measures to counter cyber incidents and address vulnerabilities.

This Is How You Can Contribute
- Provide technical and organisational support to operators of critical infrastructure in cyber incidents
- Gather technical cyber threat intelligence from both public and restricted sources
- Continuously assess the cyber threat landscape in collaboration with partners in Switzerland and abroad, and implement appropriate countermeasures
- Design, develop and maintain the infrastructure and tools required for detection (sensors), logging, processing and analysing cyber incidents, while also creating innovative solutions to detect cyber threats
- Monitor botnets and conduct malware analysis
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or cyber security, or comparable professional experience, with several years of relevant work in the field
- In-depth expertise in monitoring and analysing malware and botnet infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and common network protocols, as well as proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Go, C++, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Enthusiasm for collaboration and knowledge-sharing with technical partners, as well as willingness to take the technical lead in demanding situations
- Excellent command of two official languages of Switzerland, a good passive understanding of a third, and a high level of proficiency in English
