Lead Unity Developer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Lead Unity Developer to manage one of our developer teams and contribute to a game which is played by millions of players.

At Kolibri Games we work with multidisciplinary teams in 2 week sprints, regularly releasing features and updates. In your role you’d actively contribute to the technical advancement of Idle Bank Tycoon, one of our most successful games to date. With Longevity in mind you ensure the continuous quality and timely delivery of projects with your team.

To achieve sustainable results you will work in direct collaboration with fellow leads in the team and technical leaders throughout the company.

Responsibilities

• Make key technical decisions for your project
• Coach and mentor developers to support their professional growth
• Collaborate closely with product teams to identify areas for technical improvement
• Work within a cross-functional team for effective collaboration
• Estimate effort and break down complex projects for easier implementation
• Coordinate with other leads on planning and resource allocation
• Ensure the maintainability, scalability, and high quality of systems within the game
• Collaborate with tech leaders to drive overall technical innovation within the company
• Support the hiring process for new developers

Required skills

• 5+ years of experience in mobile game development
• Prior experience managing at least three developers directly
• Experience with Unity3D
• Strong communication skills for clear, effective, and collaborative interaction across a cross-functional team
• Familiarity with industry best practices and solutions, with the ability to identify and apply the best fit for specific problems
• Strong prioritization skills for managing tasks and projects effectively
• Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in game development and architecture patterns
• Willingness to learn and continuously grow

Desirable Skills

• Experience in improving runtime performance and memory usage in mobile games
• Familiarity with reactive programming patterns, asynchronous programming, and dependency injection frameworks
• Worked on live games that have been globally released for more than 2 years
