Role Summary
As a Network Engineer / Project Management Consultant, you’ll focus on implementing, configuring, and providing operational support for Cisco-based networks, firewalls, and WAN connections. This role blends technical and consulting expertise, combining network engineering and project management to advance network strategy, security, and infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Management: Configure and support Cisco-based LAN/WLAN environments, firewall systems, and WAN connections across multiple locations.
- Innovation and Strategy: Develop strategies for highly available and secure network operations.
- Support and Diagnostics: Provide 2nd-level support, perform diagnostics, and conduct network analyses to ensure optimal performance.
- Project Management: Lead network infrastructure projects from conception to implementation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a distributed team, primarily collaborating with colleagues in Germany and Spain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT training, or equivalent experience (career changers with an IT background and 2-6 years of experience are also encouraged to apply).
- Strong knowledge in network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalling), with familiarity in Microsoft Server and Linux systems.
- Preferred Certifications: Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
- Additional experience with SIEM, Checkpoint Firewalls, VoIP/SIP, and UC systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and a structured working style.
- Fluent in English with a willingness to travel for occasional meetings and workshops.
