Data Engineer - Contract/Freelance - 6 months +

We are looking for a data engineer to join the team in Oslo on a freelance basis for at least 6 months (possibility for extension) to work on a new data platform in Azure

Your role will involve:

• Working with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data pipelines for migration to Azure
• Develop and implement ETL processes in the cloud
• Ensure optimisation for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Provide documentation and training to support the transition to Azure

We are looking for you to have:

• Proven experience as a data engineer or consultant, with expertise in building data pipelines and ETL processes
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database
• Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing, and analytics concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in the finance industry or with financial data is beneficial

Fluency in Norwegian and English is required, and must be based in the Oslo area with a willingness to travel 2-3 days per week to office
