Compute Linux Engineer / Python Automation Developer

We’re looking for an engineer who excels at writing clean, efficient code to automate complex infrastructure tasks. In this role, you’ll play a key part in building and managing distributed Linux environments, storage platforms, and cloud systems—leveraging your programming skills to enhance efficiency, observability, and resilience across the entire tech stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using Python
• Automate system configuration, deployment, and monitoring at scale
• Manage and support Linux-based systems (RHEL) and distributed storage platforms
• Build internal tools to streamline operations, improve observability, and manage capacity
• Apply best practices for CI/CD, source control, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible, Chef)
• Troubleshoot complex issues across physical hardware, operating systems, and distributed services
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and business stakeholders on strategic and tactical initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles, with strong Linux (on-prem) administration expertise
• Proficient in Python—this is essential
• Solid experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Chef
• Hands-on experience managing physical hardware and large-scale Linux environments
• Strong understanding of software development practices including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
