Senior Network Engineer

This is a permanent position within the financial services space.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex, tier-3 network issues.
• Design and implement proactive monitoring solutions to minimize downtime and improve incident resolution times.
• Leverage scripting and automation (Python preferred) to streamline network operations and enhance efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Splunk/ITSI dashboards to provide real-time operational visibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new solutions and optimize existing infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations and shift-based schedules as required.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on technical experience in networking.
• Experienced in Routing/Switching, Firewalls, Load Balancing, and protocol/trace analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience in wireless technologies (e.g., Aruba, Airwave, RF survey tools, ClearPass, wireless authentication).
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python) to improve operational workflows.
• Experience creating operational dashboards in Splunk/ITSI.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE, cloud, wireless, firewall, and load balancer certifications are highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, with a dependable and proactive work style.
• Previous experience in large financial institutions will be a plus
