Engineering Lead (ICSS)

Location: Onshore, Qatar

Start Date: September 2025

End Date: September 2028

Contract Duration: 36 months

Schedule: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week (approx. 26 days/month)

Project Type: Compression (experience in similar large-scale LNG or offshore compression projects is essential)

Overview:

This is a senior-level contract role leading Instrumentation and Control Systems (ICSS) engineering activities for a major onshore compression project. The successful candidate will oversee design execution, vendor coordination, and integration of control and safety systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines. The role involves interfacing with multiple disciplines and stakeholders, including EPC contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead I&C engineering scope, ensuring compliance with project specs and safety standards.
• Manage ICSS purchase orders and integration with existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance to EPC contractors and resolve design issues.
• Support multi-disciplinary engineering tasks and project reviews.
• Drive schedule adherence and contribute to progress reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Instrumentation & Controls within oil & gas projects.
• Offshore I&C design experience and familiarity with smart junction box technology.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and vendor systems.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning experience required.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
