CMS IMPLEMENTATION

Location: Sydney CBD, 3 days per week onsite

Daily Rate: Up to $970 + Super day

Expected Duration: Initial 4-month contract with potential to extend

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a digital transformation initiative for a leading NSW State Government organisation, transitioning from SharePoint 2016 to the Squiz Matrix Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

Key Responsibilities

Project Continuation & Ownership:

• Review existing project documentation, including requirements mapping and stakeholder inputs.
• Understand current workstreams, including integration and API evaluation.
• Validate and refine the delivery roadmap and assess the existing technical estate (Azure, SharePoint 2016).
• Act as the central point of accountability for procurement and vendor engagement.

Tender Process Leadership:

• Lead the end-to-end RFP process for selecting a Squiz CMS implementation partner.
• Draft and finalize RFP documentation with clear scope, deliverables, and evaluation criteria.
• Ensure compliance with NSW Government procurement frameworks.

Vendor Evaluation & Decision-Making:

• Define and document vendor selection criteria.
• Develop a scoring matrix and facilitate structured evaluation sessions.
• Lead consensus-building and produce a formal vendor recommendation report.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with internal IT teams and executive leadership.
• Facilitate workshops and briefings to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and regularly.

Transition to Implementation:

• Prepare onboarding documentation and transition plans for the selected vendor.
• Support the handover into the implementation phase, ensuring continuity and alignment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience managing CMS implementation projects in government or public sector environments.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint 2016, Squiz Matrix, and Azure.
• Demonstrated experience leading RFP/tender processes, including drafting, evaluation, and vendor selection.
• Deep knowledge of government procurement frameworks.
