Staff Graphics Engineer - Tools Development / GPU
We are currently partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company in Ireland looking to expand their headcount at their central European R&D Centre with a Staff Graphics Engineer. You'll join a high calibre team of engineers responsible for building developer tools that empower GPU and game engine developers to extract maximum performance from next-gen hardware.
This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.
Key responsibilities for this Staff Graphics Engineer position:
- Design and develop tools for profiling, performance analysis, and debugging of GPU workloads
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to validate performance and optimize graphics pipelines
- Work directly with the developer ecosystem, partners, and OEMs to debug, optimize, and tune real-time applications
- Influence next-gen GPU architecture and tool design through deep technical feedback and development insight
Key requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in tools, application, or real-time software development
- Proficiency in C/C++ or experience with C#, Rust, or Go
- Understanding of GPU hardware and graphics development concepts
- Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, or WebGL
- Familiarity with game engines or frameworks like Unity, Unreal Engine, or custom engines
- Knowledge of GPU computing APIs such as CUDA, OpenCL, or SYCL
