What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain scalable software within our own reservation system, CMS, and App Store.
- Write efficient, well-structured code within a modern tech stack.
- Analyze and solve complex technical issues with a full-stack approach, keeping product and user experience in mind.
- Work in an agile team of about five engineers, alongside a Product Manager. This team is part of a department of around 35 colleagues, all responsible for the entire platform.
- Contribute to technical innovations and the continuous improvement of our platform.
- Collaborate with our Head of Operations, Gerjan and other Software Engineers on our tech stack.

Valued qualities
You have...
- Completed or are in the final stages of a WO degree in Computer Science (or similar), or have a diploma. Work experience alongside your studies is a strong plus.
- At least 1 and up to 2 years of work experience, or
- Excellent command of the English language and reside in the Netherlands.
- Availability of at least 36 hours per week and the ability to work at the office in Enschede at least three times a week.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages and stay up-to-date with developments in your field. Experience with Ruby is a plus, but knowledge of PHP, Python, JavaScript, or Java is also welcome.
- An active learning approach, using books, podcasts, and conferences, especially if you still have much to learn.
- An open attitude towards feedback and discussions without getting too theoretical.
- No difficulty in choosing solutions that are well-balanced both technically and from a human perspective.
- Attention to detail and a sense of quality, both in clean, readable code and in an understandable user experience, with careful language use and adequate explanation.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language.
- EU passport or valid work/residence permit.
- Living in or near Enschede.
