Senior Backend Developer - Security Startup | Python

12 months back, I started working with a small but seriously ambitious cybersecurity start-up with one big, audacious mission: to map and monitor the internet at a scale nobody else was touching.

They’d built a prototype of their global scanning tech, proved it could find live threats in seconds, and were quietly onboarding big-name clients without shouting about it.

Back then, they were lean: a couple of engineers, a founding team with serious security credentials, and a roadmap that was frankly terrifying (in the best way).

Fast-forward 12 months, and they're motoring, the client list is heavier, and the opportunities bigger.

They’re still moving like a true start-up, but now with funding, traction, and the kind of challenges you only get when your product suddenly becomes essential.

Now they need a Senior Backend Developer who can help shape the architecture, own big pieces of the backend, and put their stamp on a product that’s scaling fast.

What’s on offer?

• Flexible hybrid – office when you want it, remote when you don’t.
• €95k–110k + pension + secondaries.
• SARS after one year of service - gotta earn you stripes
• 12-month contract, then indefinite
• Not IND registered, so sadly can't support Visa's yet.

You’ll need:

• 5+ years of backend experience with Python (FastAPI is a must, really).
• Strong API design skills (REST, OAuth, JSON).
• PostgreSQL.
• AWS/cloud-native deployment experience.
• Docker + Kubernetes in production.
