Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer with DelfinGroup, You’ll be the backbone of our data architecture, playing a vital role in supporting our business growth and ensuring our teams have seamless access to high-quality data. Your mission will be to empower decision-making and innovation by building a scalable, secure, and reliable data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage ETL processes to integrate data from various sources, such as loan management system, e-shop, payment providers, credit bureaus, and mobile app.
• Implement real-time data processing for select systems to facilitate quick decision-making.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency within our data platform.
• Apply data governance best practices to maintain data security, integrity, and compliance.
• Work with the IT team to ensure smooth integration and data flow across all systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists to build and optimize data pipelines tailored for machine learning models.
• Partner with business units to understand their data requirements and ensure they have access to accurate, timely information.
• Enhance existing data products and participate in new data solutions development.
• Support junior data engineering team and other team members and share best practices and tools.
• Stay informed about emerging data engineering tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, database administration, or BI development.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data-oriented languages.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing principles and experience in data platform design.
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy principles.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills.

Amongst other competencies an advantage will be:

• Familiarity with data streaming tools (Airflow, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker).

Compensation:

Each candidate we meet with is considered individually to understand their professional skills, experience, and how they can enrich our company, while also taking into account their personal goals and growth aspirations. The salary we offer is starting from 3000 EUR gross.
