Data Scientist - relocation to Katowice, Poland

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in solving complex business problems using advanced analytics. You will lead technical initiatives of low to medium complexity and contribute to enterprise-wide projects. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer value.

Responsibilities:

• Lead analytics initiatives using statistical modeling, data mining, and business simulations
• Act as a technical expert and mentor for junior data scientists
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals and deliverables
• Translate business needs into analytical solutions to drive decision-making
• Ensure technical quality and consistency across analytics projects
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively
• Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives such as the Engineered Value Chain
• Push the boundaries of experimentation while meeting project commitments
• Build and maintain strong networks within the technical and business communities

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field with 6–9 years of experience
• OR Master’s degree with 4–6 years of experience
• OR PhD with 1–3 years of experience

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake for ETL processes
• Programming experience in Python, R, or SAS
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud solutions, IT operations, and data governance
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab
• Expertise in advanced analytics techniques (e.g., time series analysis, cluster analysis, neural networks)

• Ability to work collaboratively and influence across teams
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering customer value
• Adaptability in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
