Lead Engineer

As a lead, your primary role will be to build products and services for Airtel’s growth. You will be spending better part of the time in development and writing technical documents. You will solve business problems at scale, work on existing and new repositories, review code, write design documents and help in resolving customer issues. As senior lead, you will build and mentor engineering teams and deliver on below :

1. Individual Contribution: Timely delivery of agreed deliverable by removing technical impediments and provide feature documentation. Owning the responsibility of the tasks.
2. Technical Expertise : Provide guidance on technical and functional aspects of project and take decisions. You will execute best practices in application architecture, development, code reviews, performance, deployment and execution by owning end-to-end business deliveries. Ensure zero defect on live system.
3. Innovation and continuous learning. : You will encourage and adopt new technology and emerging industry trends and methods for improving efficiency of your team. Support customer issues with measure to avoid same problem getting repeated.
4. Communication and Collaboration : You will facilitate communication within the engineering teams and stakeholders including quality, operations, product and program to ensure alignment for business goals. You will address technical issues in teams and promote positive working environment
5. Team Management : Conduct performance review and setup constructive feedback loop for team members along with Engineering Managers. You will be responsible for hiring new members for effectively meeting organizational goals and deadlines. Prepare and help junior folks in team to work on their tasks.
6. Project Management : You will be part of overall planning by providing correct estimation and execution of engineering projects and ensure their timely delivery

1. Application layer technologies including Tomcat/Nodejs, Netty, Springboot, hibernate, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Apache flink
2. Caching technologies like Redis, Aerospike or Hazelcast
3. Frontend technologies including ReactJs, Angular, Android/IOS
4. Data storage technologies like Oracle, S3, Postgres, Mongodb
5. Tooling including Git, Command line, Jenkins, Nifi, Airflow, Jmeter, Postman, Gatling, Ngnix/Haproxy, Jira/Confluence, Grafana, K8s

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computers Engineering or comparable experience

Work Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
