Senior AI Engineer

We are expanding our AI capabilities and are looking for a seasoned Senior AI Engineer who is passionate about pushing boundaries in the machine learning and large language model space.

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, deploying, and fine-tuning machine learning models that support key features of our platform. You'll design prompts for large language models and benchmark models and prompts against each other. You’ll work across the entire model lifecycle, from prototype to production, driving innovations that keep Deepdesk at the forefront of AI-driven technology. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify and implement AI-driven solutions that deliver meaningful impact to our users.

What you can expect:

• Full Model Development Lifecycle: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models in Python. This includes both rapid prototyping and full production-ready implementations, considering endpoints, APIs, and service integrations.
• Model Training and Benchmarking: Train, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama, Gemini, Claude, and Mistral. Drive rigorous benchmarking to assess accuracy, efficiency, and error rates.
• Prompt Engineering: Develop, test, and optimize prompts for LLMs to enhance product functionality. Assess quality and feasibility for various use cases.
• Algorithm Development and Maintenance: Maintain and refine existing algorithms, ensuring they meet high performance and accuracy standards.
• Innovation and Roadmap Development: Partner closely with the CTO and Product Owner to envision future AI-driven products and enhancements that align with Deepdesk’s growth and competitive edge.

What we expect:

Tech Stack & Skills

• Programming: Strong proficiency in Python.
• Machine Learning Libraries: Experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Large Language Models: Comfortable working with large language models (GPT, Azure, Llama, Gemini, Claude, etc.).
• MLOps: Any experience with Kubeflow, MLOps practices, and cloud deployment on GCP is a plus.
• NLP Tools: Experience with NLP libraries like Spacy or Flair is beneficial.

Soft Skills

• Strategic Vision: Able to think ahead, proposing new AI capabilities that keep Deepdesk at the cutting edge of customer support innovation.
• Clear Communication: Comfortable explaining complex ML concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent English: Essential for effective collaboration.

• We have a small office in central Netherlands (Amersfoort). We are happy with in-office, hybrid, or remote;
• The role is full-time, but we are flexible in how you spread your working hours;
