About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Front End Developer with expertise in React to join our CORE Mod. team within the Tax Administration division. This is a dynamic role designed for a professional who is passionate about creating intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that enhance user experience and support the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend developers to develop responsive, scalable, and maintainable front-end solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical government projects, utilizing the latest front-end technologies and frameworks to deliver impactful solutions. The position is based in Telford with a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of two days per week onsite, providing a flexible yet collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in front-end development with specific experience in React and related frameworks. A solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and modern JavaScript is essential. Candidates should have proven experience working with TypeScript, server-side rendering (SSR), and component libraries such as Material-UI (MUI). Familiarity with modern testing frameworks like Playwright for end-to-end testing is also required. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. A minimum of a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must hold BPSS security clearance or be eligible to obtain it prior to onboarding.
