Cyber Security Vulnerability Analyst

We are seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of our vulnerability management processes, ensuring security risks are identified, monitored, and addressed in a timely and effective manner. This role involves maintaining a full lifecycle approach to vulnerability tracking, producing insightful reports, and working closely with stakeholders to strengthen our security posture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and monitor newly discovered vulnerabilities across the environment.
  • Coordinate remediation actions, assigning them to relevant owners and tracking progress.
  • Carry out root cause analysis to pinpoint issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Interpret data and develop recommendations with moderate complexity.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on vulnerability metrics.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in cyber security tools, threats, and best practices.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans using approved tools and methods.


About You:

  • Hands-on experience with leading vulnerability management platforms (e.g. Qualys, Tenable).
  • Proven understanding of vulnerability lifecycle processes.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in information security.
  • Skilled in data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • At least 2 years’ direct experience supporting technology platforms in a security capacity.
  • Able to provide clear, actionable remediation plans to stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with patch management and infrastructure teams.
  • Capable of enhancing risk intelligence through detailed analysis beyond automated scan results.
  • Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and reports, with the ability to explain data insights clearly.


Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, able to lead discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced analytical skills for identifying trends and improving reporting outputs.
  • Background in client or stakeholder relationship management within a technical/security context.
  • Relevant certifications in vulnerability management tools or cyber security (e.g. Tenable, Qualys, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security).
  • Degree-level education preferred, or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, Windows servers, Linux/Unix basics, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies.
  • Fluent in English.
