Role Context

As part of our mission to develop innovative solutions for optimizing procurement and supply chain operations, we are seeking an AI Engineer with a strong background in procurement.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and deploy AI solutions to streamline purchasing processes, improve supplier management, and deliver measurable financial gains.


Key Responsibilities

Business analysis & requirements gathering

  • Understand existing procurement processes (strategic, tactical, and operational)
  • Identify optimization opportunities through data and AI applications
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to define and prioritize use cases

AI solution design & development

  • Build machine learning / deep learning models for:
  • Price and market trend forecasting
  • Supplier evaluation and segmentation
  • Tender and negotiation optimization
  • Anomaly detection (fraud, billing errors)
  • Implement multi-criteria optimization algorithms for supply management

Data engineering & procurement data processing

  • Gather, clean, and enrich internal and external data (ERP, procurement systems, supplier databases, market intelligence)
  • Set up reliable, scalable data pipelines

Industrialization & integration

  • Deploy AI models within existing procurement tools (ERP, e-procurement, BI platforms)
  • Ensure model performance, robustness, and maintenance

Technology watch & continuous improvement

  • Keep track of AI innovations applied to procurement and supply chain
  • Suggest improvements based on user feedback and evolving needs


Candidate Profile

Education

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Additional certification in procurement/supply chain is a plus (e.g., CIPS, MAI, ISLI)

Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in AI / data science roles
  • Proven track record in procurement or on AI projects applied to procurement

Technical skills

  • Programming: Python & R
  • Knowledge of mathematical optimization, and time series forecasting

Business skills

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes (direct, indirect, sourcing, tendering)
  • Familiarity with key KPIs (TCO, procurement ROI, supplier performance)
  • Awareness of contractual and regulatory considerations
