Role Overview

The IBM ODM Lead Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager. This includes collaborating with business teams, integrating rules into enterprise systems, optimizing performance, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Rule Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain rule artifacts (rule flows, decision tables, rule sets) using IBM Rule Designer.
• Integration: Integrate ODM rules with enterprise applications via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Governance: Manage and configure IBM Decision Center for collaborative rule management and governance.
• Optimization: Ensure high performance and scalability of rule execution environments.
• Leadership: Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers on ODM best practices.
• Compliance: Follow coding standards, security policies, and deployment guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis.
• Innovation: Stay updated on IBM ODM product enhancements and propose adoption of new features.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Expertise:
• IBM ODM: Rule Designer, Decision Center, Rule Execution Server (RES).
• Java/J2EE, XML, JSON.
• REST/SOAP web service integration.
• Development Practices: Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines.
• Governance & Tools: Rule governance frameworks, version control (Git, SVN).
• Additional Tools: BPM tools, workflow integration.
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud deployments.
• Modelling: Decision Modeling Notation (DMN), business event processing.
• Architecture: Familiarity with microservices.
