Senior Scrum Master/Project Manager - +10 years of experience - Full remote - Contractor in USD

For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Scrum Master with Project management experience.

We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Deliver projects and products using agile project management methodologies;
• Define project models according to business priorities and complexities;
• Create and maintain detailed implementation project plans;
• Proactively manage project and program goals, business objectives, issues, and escalations;
• Schedule and conduct regular meetings with project working groups to showcase delivery progress;
• Track and facilitate resolution of team impediments to ensure smooth project delivery;
• Ensure adherence to agile principles and define processes to achieve sprint goals;
• Assist product owners in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog;
• Communicate product owner expectations clearly to the project team;
• Organize and lead agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives;
• Implement improvements identified during retrospective meetings to enhance team performance;
• Assist teams in defining “Definition of Ready” and “Definition of Done” criteria;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• Certified Scrum Master with 10+ year of experience
• Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban, etc.): Ability to lead projects using agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to ensure iterative and flexible delivery;
• Project planning and scheduling: Skilled in developing comprehensive project plans and schedules to manage timelines and deliverables;
• Stakeholder communication and reporting: Proficient in communicating project status and updates to stakeholders through regular reports and meetings;
• Risk and issue management: Capable of identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues to minimize impact on delivery;
• Cross-functional team leadership: Able to lead and coordinate diverse teams with varied skill sets to achieve common goals;
• Problem-solving and impediment resolution: Strong in analyzing challenges and facilitating solutions to remove obstacles for the team;
• Product backlog management: Skilled in assisting product owners to prioritize and maintain a clear and actionable product backlog;
• Facilitation of agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives): Experienced in organizing and leading key agile meetings to drive team collaboration and progress;
• Coaching and mentoring in agile practices: Able to guide and support team members in adopting and improving agile practices;
• Business analysis and requirements gathering: Skilled in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to inform project scope and objectives;
• Fluent in English;
