DevOps Automation Engineer – 6+ Months – Utrecht (Hybrid - 1 day on site)

We are seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer for a 6+ month contract in Utrecht to join a collaborative team focused on delivering large-scale infrastructure automation. This role is perfect for someone with strong automation skills, hands-on experience in secure environments, and the ability to work independently.

You'll be working in a clean room setting, leveraging Ansible, PowerShell, and VMware vROps to automate infrastructure deployments and streamline operational processes. Some existing automation is already in place, but you will help extend, optimize, and maintain these solutions while ensuring they meet strict security and compliance standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions
• Extend and improve existing automation using Ansible and PowerShell
• Work with VMware vROps to streamline VMware environment automation
• Operate in a clean room environment, adhering to security protocols
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure engineers and security teams
• Proactively identify automation opportunities and implement best practices

What You Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and PowerShell
• Good understanding of infrastructure concepts and operations
• Experience with VMware vROps automation
• Familiarity with security requirements in restricted environments
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
