Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented UI/UX Designer for an enterprise Tech Client.
Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Location: San Diego, CA (Remote)
Duration: 2 Months Contract

Note:
Collaboration with other designers, and engineers is a must have. Design deliverable documentation skills is a must. As well as working with a design system.
Early ideation phases of work (as this will be more supporting delivery work and specification).
About the role:
Support product teams by taking design concepts and fine-tuning them into production-ready experiences, ensuring clear documentation for seamless engineering handoff.
Collaborate with designers, user researchers, business analysts, and software engineers to enable the design process and inspire productive dialog—especially in the final stages of the design pipeline.
Participate in concept development and design ideation for new product features, while maintaining a focus on execution quality and delivery readiness.
Produce design deliverables including user flows, sketches, wireframes, and journey maps, with attention to detail that supports handoff and implementation.
Document results of design-related meetings and design deliverables with precision, ensuring that all materials are ready for engineering consumption.
Work with Product Strategy to understand product requirements and translate them into buildable user experiences, with a strong emphasis on design system alignment and final-stage execution.
Skills:
Minimum 3 years of professional design experience, including user experience design of enterprise applications, with a focus on execution and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to refine and finalize designs for production, with a strong understanding of how to support engineering teams through clear documentation and design system usage.
Experience working with design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across product teams.
Strong online or distributable portfolio/work samples that showcase production-ready design work and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize UX issues and support the end-of-pipeline design process.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript boundaries to ensure feasible design solutions.
Experience in Agile/Lean environments, especially in roles that emphasize supporting delivery and finalizing design assets.
Mobile experience is a strong plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design, HCI, or a related field
Specific laptop that needs to be used for this role (i.e. - Mac or Windows): MacBook Pro
Specific time zone? (e.g. - If a person on the East Coast can work PST, is that ok?)
The core working team will be PST split between SC and SD locations. Higher preference on PST.
