The project:

PMO implementation for a mixed use development in a suburb of greater Muscat. It will comprise of mainly residential, retail areas and large areas of public realm.

The role of a digital lead is to manage the digital team in all aspects of digital services delivery on a client project or programme, including discovery assessment, development of the digital strategy, digital landscape and architecture, procurement, and implementation of digital solutions through testing and training, and into live operation.

It requires a mixture of experience of IT and digital solutions and services typically deployed on construction projects and programme, with effective project delivery, and problem solving.

The end customer is the body of people working on the project that need functional and efficient digital technologies and solutions to help then plan, manage, control, and deliver the project.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Lead end-to-end delivery and operation of digital solutions on client-facing projects, ensuring alignment with quality, scope, budget, and timelines.
• Apply structured project delivery methodologies (e.g., the Mace Way), standards, and templates to guide execution.
• Translate complex business challenges and technology changes into well-defined projects with clear objectives.
• Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather and refine project requirements.
• Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across business and digital teams.
• Develop and implement strategies, plans, and system/data architectures to support project goals.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, offering innovative solutions where needed.
• Oversee key elements of the software and solution lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
• Lead and develop project teams, managing both internal and external resources effectively.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite, and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  
  

You’ll need to have:

• Proven experience as a digital lead on major construction projects, with strong IT project management and budgeting skills.
• Expertise in applying technology to business challenges, including software selection, licensing, and supplier management.
• Strategic planning capabilities, including business case writing, business analysis, and system/enterprise architecture.
• Familiarity with technology and software used in real estate and construction project management.
• Strong stakeholder and people management skills, including matrix team leadership.
• Knowledge of information security, data protection, and risk assessment.
