Cyber Security Analyst

Cyber Security Analyst – Manchester – £35,000–£45,000

We’re working with a growing technology provider in Manchester who are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and protecting systems, investigating incidents, and strengthening security controls across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Monitoring security alerts and events using SIEM tools, identifying and responding to potential threats
• Investigating incidents and coordinating responses to minimise business impact
• Managing and maintaining security systems including endpoint protection, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
• Supporting patch management and security hardening across servers, networks, and cloud platforms
• Assisting in security awareness initiatives and delivering user training where needed
• Contributing to incident response plans, risk assessments, and compliance audits

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a cyber security or SOC analyst role, ideally in a multi-technology environment
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and vulnerability management processes
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 security
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple incidents at once
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or similar) are a bonus
