Wedo is partnering with a fast-scaling cybersecurity company protecting digital assets in the Crypto space. There are looking to hire 2 Senior Software Engineer who thrives on ownership, autonomy, and delivering at pace.

This isn’t about slotting into a pre-defined Jira board they need someone who can lead from the front, building secure, scalable backend services that underpin their core recovery and protection products. Expect to work on AWS-heavy infrastructure, high-trust API integrations, and systems that need to perform flawlessly for customers around the globe. This role being “full stack” has a heavy backend bias… likely 80%. So if you’re as more UI based engineer then this role isn’t for you.

This role is not for everyone. They need someone who takes the ball and runs with it — not someone who waits to be told which direction to go.

• High agency required: You’ll be given problems, not step-by-step instructions. You’ll own them end-to-end.
• Hands-on delivery: This isn’t a “technical oversight” role — you’ll be building, optimising, and securing services daily.

The Work

• Design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance backend services (Greenfield)
• Integrate AWS-based infrastructure with robust API solutions (REST + ideally GraphQL)
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Platform teams to clarify requirements and ship solutions quickly
• Champion improvements in reliability, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and design long-term fixes

Tech Stack

• Core: React UI, Node Backend with some Python services
• Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, KMS, Nitro Enclave)
• APIs: REST (GraphQL a plus)
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, modern observability tools
• Security-first mindset: Designing for reliability and compliance from day one

Who You Are

• Senior-level backend engineer with proven delivery of secure, scalable systems
• Strong AWS experience and API integration expertise
• Able to navigate ambiguity and make independent technical decisions
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating clearly in async environments
• Bonus points for experience in cybersecurity, blockchain, or Cryptography

The Details

• Start Date: ASAP(latest 1st September)
• Contract Length: 3 months initially (strong extension and perm potential)
• Location: Remote (UK hours)
• Interview Process: Two-stage, including a live technical discussion with senior engineers
