Front-End Developer – Digital Innovation

At KONE Technology and Innovation (KTI), we’re shaping the future of urban movement by combining the physical world (elevators, escalators) with the digital one. Our Digital Innovation Team works like a startup inside KONE: fast, hands-on, and grounded in real user problems. We build solutions from scratch, taking ideas from early concept to pilot and global scale.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team where designers, developers, and product thinkers work closely together without silos. We experiment quickly, validate ideas with real users, and focus on creating meaningful impact. Our work contributes directly to KONE’s key strategies to accelerate our digital transformation.

We’re looking for a hands-on Front-End Developer – Digital Innovation who enjoys turning ideas into intuitive, responsive user experiences. If you like to code, experiment, and solve real-world problems with modern tools, you’ll fit right in. Together with the experienced, multidisciplinary team, you’ll design and build new digital solutions and user experiences from the ground up.

We typically work 3 days per week in the Espoo office in Finland to collaborate, sketch, and test ideas together. The rest of the time, you can work remotely depending on what suits you and your projects.

As a Front-End-focused Developer, you will

• Develop user interfaces using Vue.js and React and connect them to backend services
• Prototype quickly, test with real users, and iterate fast on multiple platforms
• Influence architecture and design choices
• Work as part of a cross-functional team owning products end to end
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• A university degree in a technical field with 1-3 years of work experience
• Previous development experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Understanding of how backend and cloud-native systems interact with UIs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment and taking initiative
• Excellent English communication across technical and non-technical discussions
• Experience with browser optimization and full-stack development is a bonus
