Senior Node.js Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with Node.js expertise to build robust, scalable, and secure microservices for a SaaS platform. You’ll work with AWS, focusing on creating new serverless solutions and migrating existing services.

What you will do

Design and implement server-side logic, RESTful APIs / GraphQL endpoints, and backend services.
Develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
Design and optimize database schemas.
Write complex queries and procedures for efficient data handling.
Integrate external services, APIs, and third-party systems.
Participate in system architecture and design discussions.
Implement unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application reliability.
Participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
Work closely with frontend teams, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business analysts.
Contribute to agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

Extensive experience with Node.js.
Expertise in designing and developing robust RESTful APIs.
Proficiency with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly on the AWS platform.
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, with practical experience using Docker and an understanding of Kubernetes.
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly implementing and managing workflows using GitHub Actions.
Proven ability to write and implement unit tests (e.g., JUnit or similar frameworks).
Advanced proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail and code quality
Ownership of deliverables and ability to drive tasks to completion.
Adaptability to different technologies, frameworks, and business domains.

Salary range: 3600 – 5900 EUR gross/month (Note: the specific amount will depend on your experience and competencies.)
